Bridget E. Reagan Obituary, MINERVA, Ohio — Bridget E. Reagan, 35, of Minerva, Ohio, died Saturday, August 15, 2026, after a large tree fell onto her Jeep Wagoneer while she was traveling along U.S. Route 30 in Paris Township, per to law enforcement. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Reagan was driving westbound on U.S. Route 30 near milepost 28 at approximately 5:24 p.m. when the tree toppled from a wooded area and struck her SUV. Authorities are investigating what caused the tree to fall, including whether saturated ground conditions or decay may have played a role.

Lt. Johnnie Maier said the incident was an extremely unusual occurrence, noting that the circumstances could have happened to anyone but resulted in the loss of a young woman with a relatives. Investigators have not announced a confirmed cause for the tree falling, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Reagan was born May 16, 1991, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Billy and Dayna (Owens) Reagan. She graduated from Minerva High School and Stark State University and was the owner of Chic Haven Boutique in Minerva. She was also a member of Malvern First Christian Church and the Minerva Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond her business, Reagan was active in the Minerva neighborhood, including coaching soccer and participating in downtown activities. Her obituary described her as kind and patient, someone who was always willing to assist others and who touched numerous lives through her involvement in the community. She was remembered as an amazing mother and as someone who brought joy to those around her.

Reagan is survived by her fiancé, Clint Carson; daughter Bristyl Mayle; sons Aiden Mayle and Cohen Mayle; stepdaughter Nylah Nutter; stepson Sylar Carson; three sisters, Kelsi Holmes, Kaylee Legg and Cindy Boles; six brothers, Dustin Reagan, Wesley Reagan, Blake Legg, Kyle Legg, Kaleob Yung and Christian Legg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A candlelight vigil was held outside Chic Haven Boutique as members of the Minerva community gathered to remember Reagan. Local businesses also organized fundraisers, while an online campaign established to help with funeral expenses had raised more than $43,000 toward a $45,000 goal, according to the information provided.

Calling hours for Bridget E. Reagan will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridget’s Funeral and Memorial Fund. She will be remembered by her family, friends, customers and individuals of the Minerva public for her life, her work and the several people she touched. Condolences are extended to her relatives, loved ones and all those mourning her passing.
